My GitHub index page: a static list of pinned projects generated at build time by a Tish script that reads the profile and each repo's description and languages, shipping as one HTML page with no client JavaScript.

Six Pins Are Not Enough

GitHub lets you pin six repositories to your profile. I had a lot more than six things I wanted people to see, so in August 2026 I built my own index page and generated it in Tish.

It starts from my profile README, which holds a list of markdown links in whatever order I want, with no limit. The build parses those lines, then asks the GitHub API for each repo's description, homepage and language. The only manual parts are which repos and what order, so the page stays current when I change a description somewhere else.

It runs on the Tish runtime instead of compiling to JavaScript, because the build needs both fetch and a filesystem. The output is one static HTML file with no client side JavaScript, rebuilt whenever I edit the profile README.

The theme follows payitforwardlicense.com: Catppuccin, monospace, terminal prompt markers.
