Started In v0, Finished By Hand
Nihmbus started on May 21, 2026 as a v0 project: I had v0 draw the first Next.js skeleton and then took over by hand. It started as v0-nexus and I kept building on it through the end of July.
It researches subjects, drafts and publishes content, runs missions and workflows, and tracks tickets, on Drizzle and Postgres with multi-tenancy, a search index and a collaboration server. The part I cared about most was the built-in MCP server. Every action the platform can do is exposed as a tool over streamable HTTP with bearer auth, and a connected agent gets exactly the tools and permissions the connecting user has in the app. So there's one permission model, and an agent can't do anything the person using it couldn't do themselves.
Starting in v0 and then taking over by hand is something I did a lot that year.
