Highlighting My Own Source
I started this the same day as PHP Simple Browse and finished it in two weeks, v1.0 through v1.4, all in February 2004.
It put PHP source on a web page with syntax highlighting, without running it or exposing files you didn't mean to. PHP had highlight_file built in, so the coloring was free. The work was deciding which files were allowed, wrapping the output in a page, and making it readable in ten point Tahoma in a table layout.
I needed it because I was putting scripts up on arzdev.com and people wanted to look at the code before downloading a zip from a teenager. With the viewer, every script on the site got a view-source link that was always current, since it read the actual file. Each point release was someone (or me) finding an edge case, and me putting out a new zip that night.
