Getting Everything Off The Box
In August 2025 I was taking a machine apart, and before I could wipe it I had thirty years of directories to move somewhere else. So I wrote an uploader. Bun and TypeScript, commander for the CLI, chalk so I could watch it work, fs-extra for the file stuff.
You point it at a directory and it goes to Google Drive, with a concurrency limit so the API doesn't start refusing requests and a YAML config so the settings live in a file instead of my shell history. init, then upload.
The machine was winbox2025. I've written some version of this script pretty much every year since 2003.
