Dump And Zip

dbbackup.php and zip.php, September 2005. That's the whole thing.

It dumps a MySQL database and zips the dump. I wrote it for my hosting servers, which by then had enough customer databases that doing it by hand was a chore and a risk. The zip.php is there because PHP didn't have a zip writer you could count on across the versions people were running, so you brought your own class.

No version number, no release. PHP Power Browse, six weeks later, got a license, release notes and a version number because it was for other people. This one was just for me: put it on cron and forget about it. A lot of what I built then was plumbing for running a one man hosting company.
