A Bare server.js
No Express, no framework at all. Just a single server.js using the pg driver straight against Postgres, doing inserts as fast as it could. I wanted to measure the runtime without anything else in the way.
Node was the default at the studio in 2016, so I wanted to actually measure it instead of assuming. I put it side by side with Go and Scala on the same afternoon.
All three were up in a day and a half, and none of them were touched again.
