tish-ms is the Windows counterpart of tish-apple: a native UI host for Tish JSX plus the Windows services an app needs, imported as tish:windows. A component written with useState and a few tags becomes a real Windows window with windows.run.
The host is plain Win32. It draws with Direct2D and DirectWrite on a DWM-backdrop window — Mica or Acrylic, dark mode, rounded corners — with a native edit control for each text input, and nothing to install. Measured on Windows, it paints its first frame in 100–190 ms and re-renders a thousand-item filtered list in about 3 ms per keystroke at around 28 MB. A WinUI 3 host was built alongside it for comparison and lost: it needed the Windows App SDK runtime installed and loaded about a second slower, so Win32 stayed.
The services are shaped like tish-macos's so an app's platform layer barely changes between the two: clipboard read, write and watch; open, reveal and the Recycle Bin; PowerShell; the Credential Manager; system-wide hotkeys; a tray icon and menu; installed apps from the Start menu; shell icons; and window show, hide and resize. A launcher-style borderless, always-on-top panel that hides on blur is one set of options. The layout engine is shared with the macOS host and tested on any OS, and the Windows crates cross-compile from macOS or Linux.
