Markdown In The Product Page
October 3rd, 2019. A React Native app on Expo SDK 35 with the web target on, and a Fastify API over MongoDB with Stripe for payments and JWT for auth, both started the same day.
The detail I like is markdown rendering in the app. Product descriptions were markdown, so a seller could just type in a box and get formatting without a rich text editor, and the API stored a plain string. I was mostly interested in the seller's side.
The idea was a storefront light enough that setting one up wasn't a project, one app for phone and web. It got one evening. I'd started the same pair the day before under my other account, so I started it twice in twenty four hours and then never opened it again.
