Push To Talk
Pitbull was push to talk. A Flutter prototype from a single day in October 2023 that barely got past flutter create.
It's one interaction, a button you hold, but behind it is a lot of hard mobile stuff: microphone permissions, background audio, a connection that stays up with the screen off, and low latency.
Flutter was what I reached for that fall when I wanted the same code on both platforms. Two months later I used it again for Mud, a native macOS markdown editor, which got further.
