Bartenders And Events
Moonshyne was a marketplace for booking bartenders for events, at moonshyne.co, in March 2017.
I started with the native app and then the API. The app was Ionic 2 and TypeScript with native builds. The API was Node and Express on MongoDB, with Stripe for payments, socket.io for the live parts, AWS for storage, and cron jobs. It was the same stack I'd just used for Karma and Ionic Video Chat, so by the third time setting up JWT auth, Stripe and a socket server I could just focus on the product.
It stopped on June 7th, three months in. I knew two-sided marketplaces were hard after four years on one, and I built the software part because that's the part I know how to finish.
