Mailing Checks For Strangers
Businesses in 2016 still had to put checks and documents in envelopes, and the people doing it hated it. Mail Princess made that on-demand: you send us the thing, we print it and mail it.
The domain went up on January 1, 2016. The app started on the 22nd and the server on the 26th. It was an Ionic app on a PHP API, the same setup I'd been using since Crunchbutton: hybrid mobile, PHP behind it, HTML and JavaScript everywhere. It lasted longer than most of what we started in 2016. An admin panel got added in March 2018, and the last work on it was that October.
My favorite part is the joke. In May 2016 we registered maleprincess.com, put up a page that said "O, wait...did you mean...", and shipped it in an afternoon. It's one of my favorite things in the portfolio, and a good picture of how fun the first year of the studio was.
