Pokemon Go With Someone Else's Starter

Pokemon Go took over the summer before, and by January 2017 I wanted to see how hard the map part was. ionic-go-maps was a Pokemon Go style Google Maps game built on Ionic and an existing starter for the Google Maps Native SDK plugin, with thanks to wf9a5m75 for the plugin. Getting it on a device meant API keys for both platforms and setting Enable Bitcode to NO in Xcode on iOS 9 and later.

I went with the native SDK because I wanted a map that panned like a real app, not a web map in a Cordova shell. Once the starter was running on a device I had my answer and stopped. It came eight days after the 2017 rebuild of my own site, in a January where I started a lot of things.
