A Site For Zepa
In January 2007 I built the Zepa Studios site the way I built every PHP site back then: everything sensitive one level above the web root, everything public below it, and an include at the top of each page pulling in the shared code.
That shared code was mine: encrypted sessions, which I'd been writing myself for years, a database class, a mail class, and a subdomain redirect, since a game studio with a game site, a corporate site and a forum needs to sort out which one is the front door. It was about two weeks of work and done by the 23rd.
Zepa Studios was the Canadian game studio where I'd been senior programmer and R&D lead in 2004 and 2005. By 2007 they were a client and I was their web guy. The site was live by that summer and stayed up into 2009. I squeezed it in while FriendBot was taking up most of my time.
