Grep Without A Shell
The day after the encrypter, one more: PHP File Searcher v1.0, February 19th 2004. It searched file names and file contents across a server.
Basically grep, but a lot of the hosting accounts I had access to in 2004 had no shell. You got FTP, maybe a control panel, and whatever PHP you could upload. So I wrote a script to do the search, uploaded it, ran it in a browser, and deleted it afterward.
That February I'd also made a directory browser, a source viewer and a line counter, so with this one I could get around a server, read code, measure it and search it, all from a browser. I didn't plan it as a set. They were just the things I kept needing.
