Reversible And Not Secure
February 18th 2004, PHP Encrypter-Decrypter v1.0, built in a day. Whatever it scrambled, it could unscramble, so it was obfuscation, but I called it encryption anyway.
I was shipping PHP scripts as zips off arzdev.com that month, and one of them, browse-v1.3-enc.php, was an encoded build of my directory browser. A few days later a license generator went out in encoded form only. Those encoded files were this tool's output. I wanted people running code they couldn't casually rewrite, mostly for the paid stuff.
It wasn't protection, and anyone who wanted to could undo it. I used it on a handful of files and moved on. There was never a v1.1.
