KruLive site

The KruLive promotional staffing site rebuilt on RawCMS, the PHP/MySQL CMS I wrote at E-mpire/ArzDev in 2004-2005 (database-driven pages, admin, modules, rich-text editor).

RawCMS Goes To Work

RawCMS had two names on its copyright line: E-mpire slash ArzDev, 2004 to 2005, rawcms.com. RawCMS came out of my time at E-mpire, a commercial CMS shop in the PHP-Nuke era, and I brought it into my own freelance work under both names.

Krulive was a promotional staffing company. It came to me through a designer at Vibrant Studios who didn't want to build a backend and knew I had one. So this was RawCMS on a real client: pages in MySQL with keyname, type and sort_order columns, a menu built from the active pages with no parent, an admin side, modules, an installer, language files, and a rich text editor so the client could edit their own text.

It also had an html2xhtml converter, because we all thought XHTML was going to matter, and a PHP source encoder tied to a specific 4.3.11 build so the code could run on someone else's server without them reading it.
