Support By Text Message
Four days, February 14 to 17, 2013: node and Express, Twilio for SMS, Sequelize for the conversations, Passport for login, and socket.io pushing everything to the browser live.
Customers text a number, the messages show up on a web page as threads, and someone on the support side replies from there and it goes back out as a text. In 2013 that wasn't something you could just go buy. It was the Crunchbutton years, when a broken order meant a phone call at a bad hour, and I wanted a queue with names on it and a history of what had already been said.
Almost everything else I did then was PHP on Cana, my own framework, but I went with node here because socket.io was the easiest way to keep a browser and a webhook in sync.
