An Ecommerce Community For Scientists
OneWorldLab.com was an ecommerce community for scientists: antibody products, manufacturers, categories and subcategories, and a lot of syncing against supplier data. It was experimental from day one.
It ran on Humpback, a Node, Sails.js and Angular platform, with Postgres for data, Redis for socket storage, and Elasticsearch since half the site was search.
Under that it had role-based auth, a lightweight CMS, a prebuilt admin, and sockets wired into the data layer through a custom storage provider. Scientific supply sold through a socket-based single page app.
