Still Shipping For The Studio
I left Luma Pictures in 2012 to co-found Crunchbutton. In February 2016 I was starting a product studio, and on February 13th I also started a delivery matrix service for Luma on top of ftrack.
ftrack is production tracking software, what a visual effects house uses to know which shots exist and what state they're in. A delivery matrix is the grid of which versions of which shots go to which client, in what format, by when. This was a Node REST interface in front of it, with a Makefile that built a Docker container, YAML to deploy it into Kubernetes, and install, update and build scripts for the VM it ran on. I kept working on it until May 2017.
I built VFX tools at Luma from 2009 to 2012, and I was still doing it four years after I left.
