Django, Preschools, Braintree
Kidadmit was a preschool admissions startup, and in April 2015 it was one of my clients. It had a Django 1.7 API with Braintree for payments and an AngularJS front end built with gulp. I worked on both for about a year.
Django was the new part for me. I'd spent a decade in PHP and was in the middle of shipping my own PHP framework, so spending a year inside a serious Python codebase with someone else's conventions taught me a lot about which of my habits mattered.
The work ran until May 2016, on a product with paying customers. It was one of the client jobs from the youbeo months, when the three of us were already building for other companies.
