Online, Offline, Initiate Chat
Running a hosting company means the support inbox is you. In the summer of 2005 I built a live chat widget for ArzHost and ArzDev so customers had something faster than email.
It had two states, online and offline, each drawn as its own image, plus a little status graphic and a submit button for the form. An invitation slid in with its own close button and opened a popup window, since that's how chat worked in 2005, and the popup had its own logo header. Behind it was a PHP backend, so it worked.
I wanted people looking at a hosting signup page to know there was a person on the other side.
