Consensual Lab Grown Meat

For the October 2022 hackathon we did theonlyhumanemeat.com: a domain, illustrated product images, and a totally straight-faced pitch for lab-grown meat that had, somehow, consented.

It was a static site, done in about twenty-four hours. Most of the work was the design, since the joke only lands if it looks like a real product line first. That was the fun part.

Nothing was for sale and nobody ate anything. It came out of a year with nine hackathons, next to a rainbow-text page and a domain whose whole content was a complaint about buying the domain. I was also running the studio's innovation practice then, prototyping things for clients, and the joke sites were a nice break from that.
