One Weekend, One Calorie App
Caloreat was a hackathon build in May 2022: an app and a web companion in two days. It went up the same weekend as Get Some Agency, Hackathon Waste and Headphones Rule.
It was an Expo 45 dev client app reading Apple Health through react-native-health. HealthKit meant it needed a custom dev client instead of plain Expo Go, so part of the weekend went to getting that build working before any features.
We did nine of these hackathons between late 2021 and late 2022, and most of the client work can't be named, so the hackathon builds are a good look at what the studio was like on a Friday.
