Abstract
Abstract was a Next.js 9 app I built at Agency Enterprise, deployed on Now before it was called Vercel. It ran on serverless MySQL, a database connection built to be opened and closed on every request instead of pooled the way a long-lived server would. Files streamed through S3 without being buffered whole, Recharts drew the numbers, and JSZip bundled several files into a single download.
I started it right before everything shut down, and it ran on the stack the whole studio moved to that year.
