Chargebacks, Automated
Chargebacks are a pain. A customer disputes a charge, the merchant has a short window to respond with evidence, and that response is a pile of paperwork put together by hand under a deadline.
Discharge, at chargebackdisputer.com, automated the disputes. I grabbed the domain at the start of 2016, started building it on June 8th in JavaScript, and worked on it until the middle of December.
This was the first year of Agency Enterprise. In February the three of us went from a food delivery company to a product studio in Venice Beach, and my lane was the skunkworks. Mail Princess, on-demand check and document mailing, was the same year, and so was the first version of the company site. Discharge was an internal bet to see if it could be a business, and I stopped in December.
