Diet Victory, Two Weeks
It was called Diet Victory, because this time I was actually going to log what I ate.
I built it with Create React Native App, Expo's zero-config wrapper, which was new that fall, so I didn't have to spend the first evening in Xcode. The app came together over the second half of November, with a small server added on the twenty-seventh for the parts that couldn't live on the phone.
The food data came from the FatSecret API, and Facebook login made signing up one tap instead of a form. I wanted logging a sandwich to be as quick as possible. Two weeks of work, and then it was December.
