Okamis.net
Okamis.net was a 2005 gaming community site and forum. The front page pulled the latest forum announcements onto the home template, with the standard sections of the day: forums, information, registration, downloads, server stats and chat. This screenshot is from the September 2005 rollback announcement, which is exactly the kind of thing you got to write when you ran your own board.
Rollback Announced, Everyone Complains
September 2005, on my own gaming community and my own forum: a rollback announcement I wrote. The server went back and some of everyone's progress went with it. I built it, I hosted it, so I was also the one telling everyone what they'd lost.
Okamis.net was the front page and the forum together. The home template pulled the latest announcements off the board so the site never looked empty. Down the side was the standard menu: forums, information, registration, downloads, server stats, chat. I wanted every piece I thought a site should have.
