Instill
Instill: share knowledge with video. A tool for recording super fast how-to and training videos so teams could capture what someone knows before it walks out the door. It started as knowledge sharing with video in 2016 and grew into training and knowledge-sharing video creation over the following years.

Before It Walks Out The Door
Instill was about a problem lots of teams have: one person knows how to do something, nobody else does, and when they leave the knowledge leaves too. The idea was to record a quick how-to video and put it somewhere easy to find, instead of waiting for documentation that never gets written.
That was 2016, and instill.io stayed up through 2020. Then the name came back on something much bigger. In December 2020 the studio started an OTT streaming platform codenamed Otter, which became Instill Video. I built the original prototype and launched both the platform and its first customer, The Pilates Class. By 2023 instill.video was "The subscription platform for health + fitness": white-label web, iOS and Android apps, "Start now and launch within 30 days."
